Little could be said of the little school in the little town called forest hill. They never competed in essay writing neither did anyone know whether the pupils there could write essay or not. The school never sent even a single essay during the national essay writing completion which required that every school in the whole district at least send a single essay.
This was in line with the district educational curriculum which had made essay writing a compulsory subject. The strange thing about the whole of this issue is that, the head of the school did not even bother to send a reason as to why his school never sent an essay in the national competition. For the failure to submit any essay in this competition, the district educational officer decided to send some officers to audit the quality of education at forest hill.
The officers arrived at forest hill early afternoon the following day. What they had in mind turned to be contrary to what they found here. The language teachers were training the pupils on essay writing skills. On scrutinizing the pupils’ essay books, they were amazed to find the most exceptional essays ever written. These essays further puzzled the officers who could not really understand why then the school had failed to submit any of these essays.
The essay submitted if they submitted any essay at all could have easily scooped numerous awards. They decided to further investigate the cause of the school’s failure to submit any essay in the essay writing competition. The officers therefore set down their tools to ascertain where the essays written by these bright children usually ended up going. What they did not know is that they would spend a hell lot of time in search of the essays.
The officers decide that they would be visiting the school two days a week since it was in a remote location. In these two days, they would try and collect the pupils’ essays and select from among the collected essays the best essay for any essay presentation or competition that would come up.
This was to be a tall order as it turned out for the officers. Every time the collected the essays, the essays would up being similar when they came to comparing the essays. This puzzled the officers as during the collecting of the essays, they all seemed different. Another weird thing is that the pupils never wrote their essays in school. They would always be sent to do their essays at home and present for marking the following day.
The officers tried another tactic of comparing the essays while still in school but the end result was the same. The strange thing is that the teachers always seemed to see the pupils’ essays as unique and never seemed to understand when the officers said that the essays were the same. How could the essays be the same?  This was a question that could not be answered, well not by the officers.
The school itself was strange, with strange pupils writing strange essays and strange teachers training pupils to write essays in a strange manner. The students also wrote about strange and imaginary topics, essays that you would not expect a junior student to write. Little did the officers know that the strange essays could one time end up scooping awards in essay competition all over the country.
Since the officers could not offer any valid explanation of the similarity in the essay, they decided to take up the essays as such and presented the essays in the national essay completion. Thinking that the essay presented would appear similar, they were amazed that the essays were all different. Every single essay presented scooped the award in that essay category. Each essay was also forwarded to various publishers. On returning to the strange school, it was no longer there. In place of it was a home for the old with as many old people as the students and the mystery was never solved.
